Open Door Architecture Festival is Looking for Its “Narrators”

Organized by the Arkitera Architecture Center, the Open Door Architecture Festival continues this year with the support of Unigen.

Aiming to draw attention to Istanbul’s built heritage and allowing normally inaccessible buildings to be visited during the event, the Open Door Architecture Festival will be held this year from October 31 to November 7, 2023.

Those who want to get to know the city’s cultural and architectural fabric more closely can register for the tours.

Do You Want to Be a Narrator at the Festival?

Tours, which have a limited number of spots, will be conducted with narrators who are students or graduates from university departments of architecture, urban and regional planning, interior architecture, or landscape architecture.

Requirements for Narrators

• Aged between 20-25.

• 3rd or 4th-year students, graduates, or current master’s students in architecture, urban and regional planning, interior architecture, or landscape architecture departments.

• Residents of Istanbul and available between October 31 and November 7.

• Interested in Istanbul and its history, and eager to conduct research.

• Strong verbal communication skills and organizational ability.

Applications will be evaluated by Arkitera and Unigen, and selected narrators will be contacted.
