Doors Open Architecture Festival Celebrates Its 5th Year and Invites Building and Route Suggestions
Aiming to make architecture a natural part of city life, Doors Open Architecture Festival is being held for the 5th time this year with the support of Unigen. Individuals, private sector representatives, and public institutions who would like to propose buildings and routes or host part of the festival, which will take place between 13–20 October 2026, can contact us until Friday, 31 July 2026.
Bringing the built heritage of cities across Türkiye to the attention of local communities, Doors Open Architecture Festival will once again take place between 13–20 October 2026.
The festival offers an important opportunity to experience the cultural and architectural fabric of cities more closely. Throughout the festival, buildings of historical and architectural significance — many of which are normally inaccessible to the public or require special permission to visit — will be opened to visitors in İstanbul and cities across Türkiye.
Preparations for the festival programme have already begun. The list of buildings and routes to be included in the festival will be announced in September, while registrations will open in October.
